As I stated in a blog post not long ago, the MCAT 2015 exam will have four new sections. Last week, I explained the Bio section, which is a doozy. This week, here's a sneak preview of Chemical and Physical Foundations of Living Systems, which will also knock your socks off if you're not prepared. Luckily for you, you're someone who likes to study. Am I right? Yes, I am.
The Chem section will test your knowledge about the mechanical, physical, and biochemical functions of tissues, organs, and organ systems. You'll be tested on things from atoms and molecules to kinetic energy and force. Note that this exam is not a rote memorization test. Yes, you have to know your stuff. But the questions will not be asking you to spit out everything you've chewed up in pre-med. You'll need to be able to use your information in an application, analysis, or evaluation. You know - what you'd actually do in the field.
