This New Year's Day post goes out to all the students out there.
Elementary kids with their shoes untied, sporting Batman backpacks and wide eyes when Miss Fisher teaches them about pythons and snowflakes and the letter Q.
Middle school kids with their cheeks on fire, waiting by the bus stop hoping to catch a glimpse of the cutest kid EVER to walk the halls of 7th grade.
High school students with their crammed-full lockers, hoping for the colleges of their dreams, the loves of their lives, and the pride of that scroll.
College students with their beat-up cars, vying for good parking, good recommendation letters, and good jobs.
Grad students with their backlog of bills, struggling to balance family and work and groceries and the never-ending pile of laundry.
Yep. This is for you.
Let's start 2013 off on the right foot. Let's promise to work diligently, never stopping until the job is done. Let's promise to study faithfully, never giving up until the material has been learned. Let's promise to test fairly, never cheating even if it means a better score.
Let's promise to make 2013 better than 2012 and way, way better than 2011. As a student, you owe it to yourself to treat your studies, whether it's memorizing sight words or writing a thesis, with dignity, responsibility and fairness.
From this test prep guide to you, I know you can do it! Let's make 2013 a great year. It's so full of promise!
