Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Assessments (PPST)

Praxis I tests are usually taken by teaching students early in college, and are sometimes even required before entry into teaching departments. Much like the SAT, the Praxis I tests basic Math, Reading, and Writing skills. However, each subject can be taken separately - which allows you to retake individual subjects if necessary.

You may choose to take the Praxis I tests in either paper-based or computer-based format. The paper-based test is slightly shorter in terms of time and number of questions. The computer-based format offers the benefit of taking a combined test including all of the sections, timed separately.
