The Quantitative Section of the GMAT
The Quantitative Section is the second section of the GMAT. It contains 37 multiple-choice questions that you must answer within 75 minutes. You will encounter only two question types: data sufficiency and problem solving.
Throughout this section, you have to do more than demonstrate basic math skills from high school. The data sufficiency questions are the hardest for most testers, because they require you not to solve problems but to recognize what information is needed to solve problems.
Thus your preparation for the Quantitative Section of the GMAT must include both math review and plenty of practice on data sufficiency-style questions.
