The SAT I and II Tests

High school students take the SAT I and, optionally, a variety of SAT IIs, to demonstrate their preparedness for college-level study. SAT I scores are often used by American colleges and universities to create a cut-off score for admissions decisions. High scores will boost your college application, increasing your chances of admission, entry into honors programs, and scholarship offers. SAT II subject tests are not usually required by colleges, but taking a few SAT IIs in your best subjects will add distinction to your application.
