The Test of English for International Communication

While the TOEFL is primarily used as an entryway to academic studies in English, the TOEIC is primarily used as an entryway into the workplace. It is designed to evaluate everyday English communication skills, specifically listening and reading comprehension.

The TOEIC is a paper-based, multiple-choice test administered all over the world. Its two sections, Listening and Reading Comprehension, each contain 100 questions. Overall, the test takes about two and a half hours.
The Official TOEIC Web Site
Education Testing Services (ETS) administers the official website for the TOEIC. Here you will find information and learning resources for the test, plus you can register for a test date.
