reading on the beachWelcome to the ACT Countdown! If you're registered to take the ACT test on September 8, my goal is to help you get prepared in case the last thing you've been thinking about this summer is ACT test prep. (Shame, shame, shame). No worries, though. These little tips coming at you on Tuesdays will help get you ready for this whopper of an exam.

The first week, I gave you the low-down on ACT English in all of its Rhetorical skills glory. Last week, I spent a bit of time on ACT Mathematics, which is the second section on the exam.

This week, we're heading into ACT Reading, which is the most difficult section of the test for many testers. Why? You'll have four passages to read in just 35 minutes and 40 questions to answer to boot. That's definitely some tough stuff! So, to get you started toward your best score, take a peek at the ACT Reading information below. Read the basics and then head into the strategies. After you've finished all of that, answer some reading practice questions based on the specific skills you're struggling with the most.
