Welcome to the ACT Countdown! If you're registered to take the ACT test on September 8, my goal is to help you get prepared in case you've been stuck thinking about back to school and ACT test prep is far from your mind. (Shame, shame, shame). No worries, though. These little tips coming at you on Tuesdays will help get you ready for this whopper of an exam.
The first week, I gave you the low-down on ACT English in all of its Rhetorical skills glory. The second week, I spent a bit of time on ACT Mathematics, which is the second section on the exam. Last week, we went over ACT Reading, and boy did you love that one.
This week, we're jumping into ACT Science which is completely misnamed. Although you'll be answering "sciencey" questions, you're really displaying your ability to read and interpret graphs. Traditionally, if you score poorly on the ACT Reading portion, you're also scoring poorly on the ACT Science section. So, to help you nail this tricky section with seven passages and 40 questions, take a peek at the ACT Science information below. Read the basics and then head into the strategies. After you've finished all of that, answer some Science practice questions to get that brain working!
