Some color, variegated subheadings, or even more white space between the excessive wordiness would help to break up the monotony of the tome.

Despite its aridity, the GMAT Verbal Bible offers the right mix of practice questions and explanations for the Verbal section of the GMAT. I daresay if you purchase this book and work through the expanse of it, your GMAT Verbal score will skyrocket.
